With Wahoo and Speedplay, the best of American technology at the service of Alé BTC Ljubljana Cipollini

​A sponsorship and collaboration that are cemented and strengthened in the name of technology and performance. The American brands Wahoo and Speedplay, part of Wahoo Fitness, have decided to sustain and increase their support alongside the Italian women’s team Alé BTC Ljubljana Cipollini for the next three years. Speedplay will provide the pedals to the women’s WorldTour team, while Wahoo will provide the team with GPS cycle computers, heart rate monitors and smart training tools.

With reference to the latter aspect, after the positive experiences already tested among the men’s pro teams Ineos and Bora-hansgrohe, from the 2021 season, Alé BTC Ljubljana Cipollini will be the first women’s WorldTour team for which Wahoo will set up a protected “Warm Up Zone” (in the photo) at the start of the races, where the riders will be able to train and warm up in total safety with the smart training tools provided by the American company.

Alé BTC Ljubljana Cipollini’s team manager Fortunato Lacquaniti added: “Having such important, high quality American brands that decide to invest in our project fills us with pride. The strengthening of our partnership is a deliberate choice and shared with them to become the only women’s team to use the entire package they provide with Speedplay pedals and Wahoo cyclocomputers and smart trainers. A three year agreement with a world leader company that will allow us to improve the quality of materials and team, our performance and to take better care of our image also thanks to the Warm Up Zone initiative”.
