WOMEN'S TOUR, BASTIANELLI ENDS WITH A 4TH PLACE

The cycling star from Rome has ended the fifth and last stage just down of the podium, behind the Finnish Lotta Lepistö (1st), Giorgia Bronzini (2nd) and Marianne Vos (3rd) in the final sprint of Colwyn Bay (Wales), that has given the victory to the American Coryn Rivera.

The final stage, 122 kms from Dolgellau to Colwyn Bay (the first overall in Wales), has always been good controlled by the team of the sprinters., even with a 1st Category KOM at half route. Marta Bastianelli was well launched by the #YellowFluoOrange train ending in 4th place and Soraya Paladin, 18th today, is the best athlete in the GC, 34’’ behind Coryn Rivera, in 13th place.

The Team Manager Fortunato Lacquanit said: “It was a very intense Women’s Tour, and the team was awesome with its 3 times places in the Top 5. These results give just a good mood.”

The team athletes will take part in their respective National Championships in the next weeks.
