THE LADIES TOUR OF NORWAY IS READY TO START

The Scandinavian event, valid for the Women’s World Tour, is the next race with the Team Alè - Cipollini. From Thursday, 16th to Sunday, 19th August the Italian team will participate in another cycling race in Scandinavia after the two days in Vårgårda (Sweden). The 2018 edition of the Ladies Tour of Norway is divided in two parts: the Team Trial Trial tomorrow is classified as single race: it’s 24 kms long from Kvisler gård Aremark to Halden (Fredriksten Fortress. uphill finish). The stage race is between Friday and Sunday: the first one (Rakkestad - Mysen) is 127.7 long and it+s followed by the Fredikstad - Sarpsborg (same length). The big final is on the 154 kms between Svinesund and Halden.

The selected line-up chosen by the Team Manager Fortunato Lacquaniti is composed by the Commonwealth Champion Chloe Hosking, the Italians Anna Trevisi and Soraya Paladin, the Dutch Roxane Knetemann and Karlijn Swinkels, and the Spaniard Ane Santesteban Gonzalez, silver medal at the Mediterranean Games in the road race, a main protagonist in the Emakumeen Bira and on the big mountains of the Giro Rosa 2018.

“This Ladies Tour of Norway is tough since the very begininning” - says Fortunato Lacquaniti - “All the stages are hilly and the TTT has a uphill finish. The legs and the concentration will be fundamental”.
