Today the Women’s World Tour 2018 has had its second stage on the Dutch roads of Drenthe, and the Team directed by Fortunato Lacquaniti has been one of the biggest protagonists with a strong performance as Top Team, taking the third and fourth place with Chloe Hosking and Marta Bastianelli. The rain and a winter climate were along the whole route of the race, with 13 cobblestoned sectors. The wet ground due to the bad weather caused some crashes in the final kilometers so the race became harder, but the #YellowFluoOrange athletes have showed their qualities with professionality. Awesome performance for all of them, from Soraya Paladin to Roxane Knetemann, from Romy Kasper to Janneke Ensing (who raced on her home roads), and the two captains who finalized well with the final sprint. Chloe Hosking said: “I would love to win, I am a bit disappointed with myself because in every race I take part my target is always the victory. The team has been more than perfect, I must say thanks becuse because since I am here it has improved so quickly, becoming in a few months one of the strongest teams in the world. Amazing teammates, the staff, especially our Team Manager Fortunato Lacquaniti for the great work. I hope to come back next year to win the Ronde van Drenthe, the most prestigious Dutch Race.” The Women’s World Tour comes back to Italy next week to race the Classic Trofeo Alfredo Binda on Sunday 18th March in Cittiglio (Varese).
