The final race in the Ardennes is planned tomorrow: the “Doyenne” so it’s known the Liege - Bastogne - Liege, the most ancient Monument Classic Race) arrives at the end of this Big Classics week. The Women’s race is as well valid for the Women’s World Tour, 136 kms from Bastogne to Ans including some very well known climbs like the Cote de la Vequee, the mythical Redoute, the Cote de la Roche-aux-Faucons, the Saint-Nicolas and the uphill finish in Ans. The Alè - Cipollini Team will be directed by Gulnara Fatkullina for the occasion and it will start with the Dutch trio Janneke Ensing, Roxane Knetemann and Karlijn Swinkels, the Belgian Anisha Vekemans, the Spanish Ane Santesteban Gonzalez and the Japanese Mayuko Hagiwara. “The theam behaved very well in the first two races here in the Ardennes, staying focussed and with professionality. We have to go on like that in the Liege - Bastogne - Liege” - declared the #YellowFluoOrange Sports Director.
