THE COLOMBIAN RIDER DIANA PEÑUELA JOINS ALE' - CIPOLLINI IN 2019

The first, new team element for the next season comes from South America: Diana Peñuela from Colombia has signed a contract for the next season with the #YellowFluoOrange squad, coming from the American Team UnitedHealthCare. Diana, born in 1986, is a fast rider who could win two races in the current season: a stage in the Tour of the Gila and another one in the Joe Martin Stage Race, both in the USA); she also finished third the Winston - Salem Classic Race. In July Diana caressed the podium in the Panamerican and Caribbean Games. She took part in the La Course By le Tour de France in Paris in 2016, edition won by her future teammate Chloe Hosking, ending 13th.

These are the first words by Diana Peñuela as future rider by Alè - Cipollini: “I am very happy to be joining one of the best teams in the world, Ale - Cipollini, for the upcoming 2019 season. This is a great opportunity to take my skills and experience to the next level at the world tour where our collective efforts will help build excellent results as a team. On a personal level, I consider myself a mentally and physically strong athlete and I like big challenges. I aim to adapt as soon as possible to European cycling and to helping the objectives of the Ale-Cipollini team. I am greatful to Ale-Cipollini for giving me this opportunity and am looking forward to racing with my new teamates!”
