THE #YELLOWFLUOORANGE 2018 ENDS WITH GIRO DELL'EMILIA AND GP BEGHELLI
The next upcoming appointments are the last on the Italian soil for the 2018 Women Elite Road Cycling, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th October in Bologna and Monteveglio. The Giro dell’Emilia has its very respectable uphill finish of San Luca, 2kms with a slope of 16% at about one km from the top. The rest of the route, with an overall length of 98.8 kms, is flat in the countryside around Bologna and a small part in the Province of Ferrara before coming back to Bologna for the big final on the brutal climb of the Sanctuary.
On Sunday, Marta Bastianelli will retry as the new European Champion to defend the title taken last year at the GP Bruno Beghelli: there are 74.6 kms to race on the six laps of the Zappolino circuit.
Including Marta Bastianelli, the Team Manager Fortunato Lacquaniti selected the following athletes for the two events organized by the G.S. Emilia: the Italians Soraya Paladin and Anna Trevisi, the Iberian Ane Santesteban Gonzalez and the Dutch Janneke Ensing.
“The Emilia and the Beghelli are two very important races with a different type of finish. We will for sure give our very best to end an extraordinary and unforgettable season for Alè - Cipollini” - declared the #YellowFluoOrange Team Manager.
The highlights of both races will be shown on Raisport, Eurosport and on the web through PMG Sport.
