The Australian Star is the winner of the Road Race at the 2018 Gold Coast Games, beating Georgia Williams (New Zealand) and Danielle Rowe (Wales) with a powerful sprint.

Chloe Hosking has taken during the European Night her third victory of the year, after the final stage at the Santos Tour Down Under and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race last January. This is an important gold medal, fundamental to restart in the best way after a long serie of positions during the first part of the European season. A victory that was taken just as a Champion like Chloe can do: in her way, with an excellent and powerful sprint!

This true feat brings more and more mood within the Team Alè - Cipollini, one day before the Amstel Gold Race: “Marvellous, it’s so good to wake up with such a great news, it’s something incredible. Congratulations Chloe! - was the message by the entire #YellowFluoOrange team, staff and athletes for the new Commonwealth Champion, who declared: “I am so happy and proud to have won the Commonwealth Games road race on home soil. It has been a huge goal of mine and to achieve the result I wanted is almost unbelievable. I have to thank my Australian teammates because they were incredible today. They really trusted me and believed that I had the form to deliver. But importantly I need to thank my Ale Cipollini trade Team who gave me the opportunity to come home for this once in a lifetime experience. It’s a really busy period of racing in Europe with big races in the Ardennes so for the team Manager Fortunato Lacquaniti and the President Alessia Piccolo to give me the freedom to race for my country, I’m very thankful!”.
