ALE' - CIPOLLINI AT THE TEAM TIME TRIAL OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Team directed by Fortunato Lacquaniti will take part on Sunday, 23rd September in the race that will assign the World title of the discipline, on the 54.5 kms long route between Ötztal - Area 47 and Innsbruck, in Tyrol (Austria).
It’s a fundamental race from different point of views: the route length, the resistance by the athletes to a prolongued effort and as it is the last edition of the Team Time Trial in a World Championship (This race will not be programmed starting from the 2019 edition in Yorkshire, England).
The #YellowFluoManager Fortunato Lacquaniti selected for this race the following athletes: Chloe Hosking, Daiva Tuslaite - Ragazinskiene, Roxane Knetemann, Karlijn Swinkels, Anna Trevisi and Soraya Paladin.
The route, except a short climb right after the start, goes almost descending from the 710 meters of Ötztal - Area 47 to the 582 meters of the finish, in the heart of the Tyrolean Capital City. Other short climbs are between the km 35 and 45, in the villages of Zirl and Kematen in Tirol. The event will be broadcasted LIVE on Raisportand Eurosport.
“A World Championship is a fundamental race and the target is to obtain the best result possible. It’s a World Championship so the concentration and the effort must be important. The route is very long and every team will arrive tired.” - quoted Fortunato Lacquaniti.
