LAST SWEDISH ACT OF THE WOMEN'S WORLD TOUR IN VÅRGÅRDA
The Road Race through the roads of the little Swedish town will be tomorrow the next appointment of the biggest World Competition after the Team Time Trial of yesterday (Photo (c) Anton Vos) for the Alè - Cipollini Team.
The Swedish race will be rode along the 141 kms of its route, divided in two different circuits: it starts with the shorter one of 11 kms to be repeated four times, followed by the longest of 53 kms and it ends with the initial circuit with another four laps. The climb of Skanterna, 3.4 kms, will be the toughest altimetrical trouble of the entire race.
This event is going to be particular for the #YellowFluoOrange Team, as Marta Bastianelli will race for her first time with the Jersey of European Champion, won last Sunday in Glasgow, eleven years later than her World title in Stuttgart 2007. The Italian star will be in the line-up with the Commonwealth Champion Chloe Hosking, the tow other Italians Soraya Paladin and Anna Trevisi, the Lithuanian Daiva Tuslaite - Ragazinskiene and the Dutch Roxane Knetemann.
“Marta is a great athlete, she will honour her Jersey of European Champion. The race of tomorrow is every year undecided, we must give the best, taking advantage with all the solutions” - commented the Team Manager Fortunato Lacquaniti.
