The Australian rider could not celebrate a stage victory at the Giro Rosa due to very few millimeters, as Jolien D’Hoore became winner for a photofinish decision. The #yellowfluoorange team did again a great job and Chloe was one of the fastest sprinters at the finish of Occhiobello (Rovigo): the celebration for a stage victory began but the photofinish denied the bigger happiness for only 0’‘80!

The goal today was of course to obtain the victory after the sixth place of yesterday. The team of Fortunato Laquaniti prepared and studied the stage in the best way, trying to avoid any kind of attack in the front. The team was with Chloe in every meter, looking for a victory at all costs.

The peloton broke due to the wind, but the whole team, supported at the finish line by the President Alessia Piccolo stayed united for the bunch sprint. Chloe was launched by Anna Trevisi, she put her arms up to celebrate but the response was negative: the jury and the photofinish assigned the second place to Chloe.

“Chloe did a great job with the team, pity for how it is gone at the end, but we don’t have to give up. There are still many stages to go and we want to obtain something very important, because we know that our team is very strong and very united.
